ATLANTA RAPPER YOUNG Thug failed to show up to the shoot that he planned for a music video to accompany his song ‘Wyclef Jean’.

However, video producers Pomp&Clout made one of the best saves of all time.

In an extremely creative, honest and hilarious way, they told the story of how Young Thug didn’t even show up to the the music video he had planned and spent over $100,000 on.

It was released in January and the genius of the director has impressed many fans since.

It begins with the recording of Young Thug discussing the concept that was sent to the director – he never even got to meet Young Thug in real life.

At least Young Thug knew exactly what he wanted his video to look like.

Here’s the full video, it’s pretty impossible to tear your eyes away from.

Pomp&Clout did an incredible job despite Young Thug being difficult on the day of filming.

So unsurprisingly, director Ryan Staake and Young Thug were nominated for the ‘Best Editing’ award on Sunday night.

Young Thug’s detachment from the project is made even funnier by the fact that he was completely unaware that he ended up winning the VMA. In true Young Thug fashion, he hadn’t even bothered going to the award show.

He tweeted his confusion when he finally found out.

One of his producers pointed out the humour in Young Thug not showing up.

Ryan Staake of Pomp&Clout managed to make it to the VMAs to collect Young Thug’s award.

Well… That’s the concept for his next video sorted then.

After taking a while to appreciate his victory, Young Thug took to Instagram to thank his father for ‘nutting in’ his mother.

Realistically he should have thanked Ryan Staake’s father.
